In Amal’s own words…

I've always seen art primarily as a means of non-verbal communication. I believe that we all have a lot to communicate that doesn't always fit into typical forms of expression, and artistic mediums can be perfect for this purpose. We view art through the lens of the sum total of our experience, meaning each person who engages with a work of art will take away something different. When we engage with a work of art I think it becomes something more than just what the artist had intended, it leaves an imprint on each of us and furthers our ability as humans to share ideas and further creative pursuits.
